Health care "behind the scenes"
Students in grades 9 through 12 are invited to join Carver College of Medicine faculty, staff, and students for a FREE career exploration experience. During this annual half-day program, teens engage in hands-on simulations focused on health care skills and innovations, critical issues impacting Iowans' health, health care careers, and health literacy. But Teens Go STEM is more than just activities – attendees get access to exclusive "backstage" tours of our health care facility, led by UI Health Care experts.
Parents and chaperones will have special access to presentations from University of Iowa experts on topics like academic preparation for health care careers, adolescent health, and more.
The medical students are enthusiastic and kind. They really helped me get to know more about STEM.
